Teaching Little Ones

This is a great resource if you are teaching 2 & 3 year olds. It teaches big concepts about God and has some good ideas for crafts. I've been using it with my parent and toddler group.
There are 2 other CD's for 3 - 5 year olds, which can be adapted for younger children.

Baby Sam!

Another bump arrived on 1st August...this is Sam just 2 days old.

Baby Erin!

One of the bumps arrived on 4th September at 3 a.m.
This is me having my first cuddle with her when she was just 16 hours old. Officially the youngest baby I have ever held.

3 days old!

How much do I owe?

Man's problem: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)

God's solution: "For God so loved the world he gave his only Son (Jesus) that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)

How much do I owe? Everything

C.T. Studd (founder of WEC International) said this,

"If Jesus Christ be God and died for him, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him"

How brave am I?

Today me and John (mate who came down to Portsmouth with me as he also knows Debs and Andy) went to Portsmouth's GunWharf Quay and went up the Spinnaker Tower.

At 170m it is quite big and you can see for miles. Now I'm not terrified of heights but I'm always a little dubious when I'm so far off the floor. John was disappointed that the external lift was not working, however, I was not. The views were spectacular, and it was a nice clear day so you could see the Isle of Wight (where I have had some amazing holidays). Ros you would have absolutely hated it!! Memories of our day out in London are flooding back :-)

On the viewing deck there is a glass floor. John took his shoes off and was happily walking back and forth over this glass, assuring me that at 6 cm thick it was perfectly safe. I took my shoes off and after a lot of persuasion, from both John and the little old ladies also walking over it, and the reassurance that if the worse did happen I would be off to heaven, I ventured slowly out onto the glass. I even took one of my hands off the rail long enough to take a photo. Evidence will be posted at a later date.

Then feeling rather pleased with how brave I was decided that enough was enough and it was time to get our feet back on solid ground and off we went for lunch in Zizzi.

Feeling old!

Hey hope you're all okay. All's good with me, lack of blogging is mainly due to not having broadband at work. I've had many long conversations with the tech support people but no joy as yet. They have put me on dial up so I do have some contact with the world but it is frustratingly slow!

At the moment I'm in Portsmouth staying at Debbie and Andy's for a friend's wedding on Saturday. Sharon was my camper in 1998 when she was just ten. I've been in touch with her ever since then, can't quite believe one of my camper's getting married.....I feel old :-(
