Yesterday was a fun day.
I spent some time in the morning icing names on gingerbread men. Why? Well we were looking at Abraham with the children in our mid week club and the promises God made to him. One of those promises was that all people would be blessed through him. Several generations later Jesus was born into Abraham's family. Teaching genealogies to children is a difficult concept for them to grasp, using gingerbread men seemed to help.
After mid week club I went the pub with Jen and Rach to do the quiz. Usually when we do the pub quiz we have Murray and Jan with us and we do quite well. We thought we'd have a go anyway, maybe Murray was not the secret to our pub quiz successes after all! We didn't do well!!! But we did know useless information such as Trafalgar Square costs £240 to buy on a Monoploy board! There were 60 questions and the winners only got 43 which made us feel much better!! But it does pay not to have minds full of knowledge....there was a bottle of wine for the losing team :-)

The gingerbread men is a fantastic idea, Dawn. Though I'm not sure anyone should be eating King Jesus unless it's a properly administered sacrament.
