The future of the Church

Should we be concerned? These are our future leaders...

A few churches on the Wirral have trainees...young people training for future gospel ministry. They are based at a church and then spend one day a week on the excellent training course run by the North West Partnership.

Recently I have put on here some comments made by friends....well these made by two of the trainees literally made me cry with laughter! (They will remain nameless, just in case any of them apply to you for a job!)

Setting: Mid week kid's club

Activity: Teaching about when Jesus fed 5,000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish

Trainee: Whilst making a fish asks, "Do fish have mouths?"

I've suggested to my vicar that we do a series on Jonah and the big fish - this should clear up any confusion.
