Sarah's Birthday Weekend - Part 1

So a few weekends ago a group of about 15 of us headed to Criccieth to celebrate Sarah's 30th birthday with her. This may come as a shock to you, but yes Sarah is now 30 despite her youthful looks. The group consisted of many females, a few males braved the group - Sarah's dad, brother and little Caleb.

A few members of the group (who shall remain nameless) found getting to Criccieth quite a challenge...partly because they hadn't quite mastered Welsh. Therefore Sarah found it difficult to work out where they where let alone give them directions!!! They eventually arrived about 12:30 pm.

On Saturday we headed out to see the delights of Criccieth...this is the group working out whether or not it was worth paying the £3 to go up to Criccieth Castle. We decided it wasn't worth it but took the opportuity for a group photo.

And besides we could still see the castle from the beach!!

Before you think that all we did for the weekend was potter about chatting, some members of our group did try and learn a few new things. Here are Naomi and Helen finding out facts about birds.

Sam tried to learn how to skim stones, not sure how successful she was.

And then, along with Ali, went for a paddle. All a bit too cold for me so I decided just to take a photo instead.

Helen finding out facts about birds - that's incredibly brave of her. Though knowledge is one of the best ways to overcome fear...
